For the past 10 weeks, I have been taking night school classes in acrylic painting. I believe we should always learn and improve our skills. This is what I have been working on for the past 10 weeks.
I pushed colours in my Poppy painting; changed the lighting on Stonehenge from daylight to night and did an experiment using cloth as the canvas. I used clear gesso to prepare the cloth for painting. My source pictures are included.
I am participating in Great Ride 'n' Stride in Burlington (I'm doing the Stride part) to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. I am participating in this walk in honour of my brother Mike. Mike lost his battle with cancer April 22/10. Mike was battling melanoma which has spread to his brain. In the past, Mike has walked for others, now we are walking for him. The walk here in Burlington is on Sunday May 1st.
